On the height of the summer sun, we invite you into a one hour embodied journey with one of the most powerful forces of ancient Egypt: Sekhmet, the fierce lioness.
Sekhmet is not the gentle feline. She is the scorching fire of the sun at its highest intensity. She carries the raw, untamed force of creation and destruction, the power that burns away what is no longer aligned and clears the path for transformation.
Known as the Eye of Ra, Sekhmet was both protector and destroyer. She was called upon in times of war, as a mighty force that defeated enemies and defended divine order. Her energy is fierce, uncompromising, and sovereign.
Where Bastet carries the warmth, fertility, and softer mysteries of the feline feminine, Sekhmet embodies the blazing power of the midday sun. She is the lioness who does not retreat, the force that meets fear directly, the fire that transforms.
Sekhmet reminds us that true feminine power is not only nurturing. It is also protective. It is fierce. It knows when to roar. It knows how to destroy what must end so that new life can emerge.
Her counterpart is Ptah, the master craftsman and creator. Together they represent the union of cosmic power and creative manifestation: Sekhmet as the divine force that fuels creation, and Ptah as the intelligence that shapes it into form.
Through Sekhmet devoted movement, Guanyin inspired movement, sacred ceremony, mantra, and embodiment practices, we will enter the living presence of this ancient goddess within our own bodies.
This is not about worshipping a figure outside of ourselves. It is about awakening the lioness within: the part of us that knows our power, protects our truth, and walks forward without fear.
This offering is guided by Ting Ting GuanJing and Amakizia, who have been walking and creating together in Egypt for the past five years, leading powerful sacred journeys through the temples and mysteries of ancient Egypt.
No previous experience is needed. Everyone is welcome.
